Henry Flynt - You Are My Everlovin'/Celestial Power
Flynt was a Fluxus member and sometime La Monte Young collaborator in the 60s; he combined elements of old time music, NY minimalism, and Indian classical music to come up with what he referred to as "New American Ethnic Music." On these two long pieces, Flynt plays fiddle over tambura drones and tape loops/effects.

Stetsasonic, IN FULL GEAR (1988)

This be the 2001 reissue with some remixes of "Talkin' All That Jazz" on it. Reissues are better than the original versions of albums, because they let you know which songs shysters and fatcats think will bring in new cheddar. Bask in the glory of young, comparitively fresh faced Prince Paul before he got JADED BY DA BIZ.
Trackowski:
1) In Full Gear
2) DBC Let the Music Play
3) Freedom or Death
4) Float On
5) Stet Troop '88!
6) Pen and Paper
7) Music for the Stetfully Insane
8) We're the Band
9) Rollin' Wit Rush
10) This is It, Y'all (Go Stetsa II)
11) Extensions
12) Sally
13) Talkin' All That Jazz
14) It's In My Song

Acid Mothers Temple doing Terry Riley's "In C," actually sounds more like Boredoms than the other stuff I've heard from Acid Mums. Also, I'm pretty sure this is in M4A, so if you're not using iTunes it probably won't work.www.megaupload.com/?d=52MQBUF9

Edden Hammons
The most fiery fiddlin' to ever touch these ears.Amazon sez: "Late in the 1880s, Edden Hammons earned a reputation as one of central West Virginia's finest fiddlers. His distinctive sound has influenced countless musicians, and the Hammons name is magic among fans of true old-time fiddle styles. In 1947, old Edden played his music into a homemade recording machine for a visiting professor. This CD, selected from those historic 1947 recordings and enhanced through the latest digital audio technology, brings Edden Hammons the legend to life for a new generation of listeners. The Edden Hammons Collection, Volume One is the first CD in a two-volume set of Hammon's work published by the West Virginia University Press Sound Archive Series. These are NOT recordings or remixes, but flawless conversions to disc that serve as the only recorded music actually played by Edden Hammons."
